Prepare track as a helper and when track is prepared share it with handler as email message. Handler with dog can assure that follows prepared track as expected.

wDog can use GPS on background mode. It allows you lock the screen, put mobile phone into your pocket and fully devote to your dog.
If necessary you can receive call or take pictures as usual and application still continue saving your positions. Application will track and save your positions only in "Record" mode.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
